TOOLS Buccal Swab and Saliva DNA Kit
TOOLS Buccal Swab and Saliva DNA Kit use unique silica membrane technology and special buffer system for purification of gDNA (0.5-3.5 μg) effectively from buccal/pharyngeal swab and saliva. The Spin Column CB2 made of new type silica-gel membrane in this kit can be easily bounded by DNA specifically. PCR inhibitors such as divalent cations and proteins are completely removed in two efficient wash steps, leaving pure DNA to be eluted in either distilled water (pH 7.0-8.5) or a buffer provided with the kit. The genomic DNA isolated with the product possess high quality and can serve as an excellent template for agarose gel analysis, restriction enzyme digestion, PCR analysis and southern hybrization etc..

Q1. When extracting DNA from saliva using TOOLS Buccal Swab and Saliva DNA Kit (DPT-BC62), can we add 500ul GBHA into our saliva sample, store in 4C and extract the DNA the next day?
A: No. We strongly suggest you extract the DNA from your samples right after you collect it. This goes the same with all of our other kits
